Weather ok for a walk in Beijing

Despite the sandstorms, it was clear enough for a nice stroll.

GROWING!

Night in Shenzhen downtown. People say you can almost touch the energy that emanates from Hong Kong. Forget the "almost" in Shenzhen. For all its faults, I love this high tech boom town!

Party in Guangzhou!

Global conferencing

It's energizing to live in this place where so much is happening at such a speed. Life in China is mostly real highs and real lows, seldom something in between. This is a country of extremes.

It is fun & energizing to pop out of a conference to make a conference call from a shabby hotel business center to anywhere around the world, and then return to networking at a traditional banquet with Chinese hosts.

Cool air

Ocean air and light rain in Pudong. Reminds me of carefree times in Singapore in the 90's... although there it poured when in rained!

I love you girls!

After endless stubborn harassment by a group of shady salesboys who extremely persistently and threateningly followed me and my friends for a mile along dark city alleys from a local clothes & souvenir market, I spotted another type of hawker group by the roadside. The handwritten sign said "Poor cat for adoption. For free."

I asked the girls whose cat was it. They told me they just found the kitten abandoned. I guess they could not take it home (living with their parents) so they wanted to find someone to take care of it.
